Lots of our walking weekends, courses, and adventures are based in the Peak District. We love it if people can get together at the end of the day (if they choose) for a bite to eat or a pint of beer, and so we try and steer people to find accommodation in the same towns or villages. The places we steer people to usually offer a range of options from camping to hostels to bed and breakfasts and hotels. On this Peak District Accommodation page we offer a limited selection to what’s out there for you to choose from.
Chesterfield Station, on the London to Sheffield line, is about 40 minutes by car and Buxton’s station is approximately 30 minutes by car. Matlock’s station to Youlgrave is approximately 20 minutes by car. Buses from/to Bakewell run approximately every hour between 8.30am and 5.30pm every day of the week (Hulleys 170 or 171). Derbyshire County Council provides bus timetable information here.
